Valentinian II, 375-392. Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.49 g, 11 h), Treveri, 377-380. D N VALENTINIANVS IVN P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian II to right. Rev. VICTOR-IA AVGG / TROBS Two emperors, crowned, seated facing on double-throne, holding a globe together; behind, Victory standing facing with wings spread; below, small palm branch. Depeyrot 47/3. RIC 49c.1. Lightly toned and beautifully struck, a very attractive piece. Good extremely fine.
